Pennsylvania Republicans are parroting Trumps false election claims as the post-Trump GOP takes shape
by Andrew Seidman
Pennsylvania Republicans are going all in on President Donald Trumps false election claims.
U.S. Rep. Scott Perry attended a Stop the Steal rally in Harrisburg last Friday before going on Fox Business Network to declare the states election a horrific embarrassment."
U.S. Rep. Dan Meuser told Fox News host Sean Hannity the situation is dire: This is no longer one citizen, one vote.
And U.S. Rep. Guy Reschenthaler told the conservative outlet Newsmax that "we know there is voter fraud that occurred, its just a question of how much. Very suspect, he said of the fact that the lead Trump held on election night in Pennsylvania had moved to a narrow Biden win.
. . .
While legal experts say the Trump campaigns court challenges are highly unlikely to change the results and world leaders have congratulated Biden on his win, the race to defend the president is shaping up as a purity test for any Republican who has aspirations for higher office.

(50,978 posts)I never knew how much of a leader McCain actually was, until his passing left a partial decency void. Romney has an ounce of integrity remaining - depending on the day. I cant think of many others?
I do hope The Lincoln Party will form a Third Party. At least they would peel off actual Conservatives from the Rs.

(511 posts)I was under the illusion that good people can disagree on politics. Im under no illusions that the current Republican Party has any moral compass, however.
Ive unfriended family and old friends who supported Trump. No tolerance anymore.

Any Republican, not just the politicians.
I will not do business with anyone I know is a Republican. The odds of being cheated are simply too high.

(22,056 posts)once the party of business, is becoming more full of cheats, liars, and those that perpetuate myths and snake oil remedies vs. the products of good old fashioned sweat and tears to make something and sell it.
A giant chunk of the republican party is rural in nature, and rural America has been hit by the recession hard, hit by the lack of easily available workers (due to trump's ignorant immigrant strategies and other BS), hit by the CV, and especially by the difference in environments, rural vs. urban. When new businesses open up, they are far more likely to open up in urban areas (where their customers are at, simple), thus economic activities will tend to always favor the urban environment. The only damper I can see is that housing costs keep going up in urban areas.

(21,234 posts)we consistently get more Democratic votes for our legislators while Republicans get more seats. My Rep is GT Thompson who drinks oil and breathes methane. All he does is attend gas and oil fund raisers but he has zero chance of being defeated.

By winning, they must have first cheated and then lied their asses off about it.
