Biden warns of 400K deaths, calls on GSA to act

Source: Yahoo News/Reuters

U.S. President-elect Joe Biden relayed an alarming estimate Wednesday (18 November).

In a round table discussion with health care workers, Biden said as many as 200,000 more people in the U.S. could be dead by January.

"Maybe exceed 400,000 people by the time we get sworn in."

That dire warning came as President Donald Trump continues to falsely claim that he has won the election and his administration refuses to share key data on COVID-19, including how new vaccines will be distributed to the country's more than 300 million people.

they don't give a damn about how many more people will die-- it's all about dump's fragile ego

So stating that many more will die makes no difference to them-- they simple don't care

I know that sounds Schadenfreude, but if they sow their own demise, who are we to stop them. It's like they've started the car in the closed garage and aren't coming out until they're ready or until the car runs out of gasoline.

It's mostly Black and brown people and service workers and retail workers and restaurant and health care workers, and people who live with health care workers dying. That is the statistical reality. Why? Because those are the people who can't afford to isolate and work from home, they have retail jobs where they're exposed to higher viral loads from people who won't wear masks. They can't afford to just quit because they'll lose their income and be evicted otherwise.

I don't feel bad for the jackasses who insist on eating in restaurants. I feel bad for the employees of those restaurants, who can't refuse to serve them because they won't be able to access unemployment benefits if they refuse work.

And red states are the places where employees have the fewest work protections, and are mostly likely to live under the harshest and most stringent unemployment compensation laws.

to hurt Biden’s response to the virus? That way, deaths will pile up in late Winter. They’ll use those deaths to destroy Biden’s presidency as early as possible for 2022 races and a 2024 Trump win.

I think that they’re setting traps to destroy the country in 2021 so that Biden gets the blame. They’re extremists, so killing people means nothing to them.
