Nov 24 (Reuters) - U.S. officials plan to release 6.4 million COVID-19 vaccine doses nationwide in its first distribution after regulators clear the vaccine for emergency use, Operation Warp Speed officials told reporters on Tuesday.

Officials gave states and other jurisdictions their estimated allocations of how many initial vaccines they should expect on Friday so they can begin planning for how to best distribute it to their high-risk populations. (Reporting by Rebecca Spalding)

A much needed stimulus payment tied to getting the pandemic defeated faster. Sounds good to me.

I think we make a huge profit from more people vaccinated sooner. I view the $1500 payment as an investment which will create wealth which will benefit others. For instance, more restaurants will open sooner providing employment.

The old vaccines injected the actual disease, tho in a weakened form. The mRNA vaccines inject only a small part of the disease. A wounded or weakened tiger might kill some people. But the ear of a tiger seems pretty harmless. These new mrna vaccines only inject the ear of the tiger, as I understand it. Of course I have basically zero understanding of this stuff so there is a good chance that my thoughts are wildly stupid.

I think there are at least two companies with vaccines, and I don't think Pfizer took any Warp Speed money.
