President Trump has told confidants he plans to pardon his former national security adviser Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty in December 2017 to lying to the FBI about his Russian contacts, two sources with direct knowledge of the discussions tell Axios.

Behind the scenes: Sources with direct knowledge of the discussions said Flynn will be part of a series of pardons that Trump issues between now and when he leaves office.

but they can't be forced to actually testify, all they would do is invoke their 5th Amendment right to refuse to testify, which they most certainly would.

If he has been given a pardon then he can't be prosecuted for those crimes and can be compelled to testify, as he has no jeopardy and can't incriminate himself.

He should not have the power to pardon anyone with associations to him.
Others that deserve a pardon that is fine.

Remember he is a convicted criminal.

This amount to someone who can not bail out of jail.
The judge [ and/or jury ] find them guilty.
Then the judge applies the sentence to time served.

Well since the Senate [the Judge] did nothing it does not invalidate the charges the Jury [House] applied.

Also he should never be allowed to run for any public office, even dog catcher.
