Wyoming's governor has resisted calls for a mask mandate. Now he has the coronavirus.

Source: WaPo

Earlier this month, with coronavirus cases rising dramatically across Wyoming, a coalition of medical experts and nearly every county health officer in the state wrote to Republican Gov. Mark Gordon with an urgent demand: to issue a statewide mask mandate.

Gordon declined. While he has stressed the importance of wearing masks, he has also argued that it’s an individual choice to do so.

“It is incredibly important that we take personal responsibility for our actions and understand how those actions can implicate others,” Gordon said last month.

Now Gordon, 63, has tested positive for the virus, his office announced Wednesday. “He only has minor symptoms at this time and plans to continue working on behalf of Wyoming remotely,” Gordon’s office said in a news release.

if the head of your state government doesn't understand the difference between the words "implicate" and impact then you're in f'ing trouble.

the subpoenas they receive will have some mention of “implicate” in them. Ditto seditious conspiracy, honest services fraud, perjury, accomplice before, during, and after the fact......

The problem is many maggots KNOW their actions endanger others, but don't care. Or like the idea of spitefully harming others.

Higher than Herman Cain.
Even if they don't die. If Trump, or one of his kids, or Mitch, or Lindsey or maybe Susan Collins, was sent to the hospital and on a ventalator for a few weeks, I'll bet there'd be come to Jesus moment with R voters.

I guess I wouldn't bet the farm on it though

Its almost like the more Republicans get COVID, and only have mild symptoms, and come through it fine, the more that works in their favour.

14. Wyoming is one of 3 states worse off than NM is

NM has dropped down the list because our lockdown has been working.

That's all going to be blown to hell today, I'm afraid, but at least we knocked the number of cases down by 2/3 from last week. We'll see the worst next Monday-Thursday.

I was hoping I was wrong about this following the pattern of other pandemics and that it would be largely over by the time the holidays came around. Nope. There are times I hate being right.
