Trump Admin Held Back Phone Numbers and Addresses That Could Have Reunited Separated Migrant Childre

Source: The New Civil Rights Movement

"The Trump administration has been holding back information, including telephone numbers and addresses, of parents whose children they separated at the border. The administration, in a deliberate and planned program intentionally broke apart migrant families to send a message to others from Central America to not come to the United States.

After federal courts ordered the administration to reunite families, 666 children remained without families. Investigators feared they would never see them reunited because the Trump administration had made little effort from the start to track them. There was never any intention to reunite the families when the program was instituted.

.....................

But now, in the waning days of the Trump administration, it turns out all along they had information that could have helped to reunite the children with their parents, but refused to hand it over.

'Legal advocates tasked by a federal judge with helping to find migrant families separated at the U.S. border in 2017 and 2018 say that after months of pleas, the government last week handed over new data that could be critical to helping them find the families,' NBC News reports."

These people should all be prosecuted -- minimally for contempt of court.

I TOO regret that each of these despicable, detestable dicks has but one soul to burn in Hell.

A policy of deliberate cruelty.

A POLICY.

Seriously, what does that say about them?

And more importantly, what does that say for those of us who don’t fight them and resist them and beat them back with every ounce of our strength and our strategic thinking?

At least that mindset is what keeps me motivated.

It would be ironic if history repeated itself and this generation of Hitlerites escaped to South America. Bolsonaro would welcome a kindred spirit and the boys would have several more endangered species to murder.

There’s a big thing among certain people who claim to be Christians: adopting children from overseas.

Russia used to be a large source of these kids, but the Russian government shut that down years ago. So...now there are people who want to adopt non-American kids and no kids for them to adopt.

Then come the migrant caravans from Central and South America. Bingo: deport the parents and let these false Christs adopt the now-stranded children.

Only problem was that Trump and his minions got caught, otherwise all these kids would now have been adopted out.

I want Trump and everyone around him locked up in fucking Alcatraz for this shit. Right now the Alcatraz Tour is just of the grounds and not the inside of the buildings; there is no reason it can’t continue to be that way.

I bet there are kids to adopt here but they are darker skinned and/or disabled and the "Christians" may not want to adopt them. While the children coming across the border who were stolen from their families may not be white white, they may be whiter than many children who are available for adoption. Wish there was a way to prove what you have posted -- I bet you are correct.

One of the sick reasons the Republican base loves Trump so much is that he "hurts the right people."

What I’ve been struck most by in talking to some of these Trump voters over the years is that they honestly didn’t expect that he would make them fabulously rich. They didn’t think they would personally get much out of it. They were confident that politicians didn’t really care about people like them and that good jobs weren’t coming back from overseas. They didn’t even really believe that things would be better for their kids or grandkids.

But they did think Trump would hurt the right people, at least. That usually came down to believing some combination of him kicking the immigrants out, cracking down on crime, saving unborn babies and restoring “traditional” marriage. If they couldn’t be happy, at least all the less-deserving people would get theirs.

It was revenge politics at its finest and Trump masterfully tapped into that.

As to Trump and his administration, I believe they should be indicted and prosecuted for crimes against humanity. Separating families in this cruel manner and then withholding the telephone numbers and other contact data constitutes genocide.

Life in prison without parole. From Trump, Bannon, and Miller, all the way down to the cruel private prison guard. And we should not buy the old 'I was only following orders' excuse any more than we did at Nuremberg.

I'm as outraged as everyone who has replied to this post. But the long view of history will have it's say, even if we can't somehow reunite the shattered families, reform the venal religious bigots, get World Court convictions, or any of the rest of it. In Julius Caesar, Shakespeare writes, "The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones." There'll be no "good" interred with dump's rotting carcass, but the evil he has done will be remembered and written about for the foreseeable future. He wanted to be a Colossus, but he'll be remembered as a monster of a completely different sort. I know that does nothing to soothe the present rage. But rage is corrosive, and maybe we can be at least partially assuaged in knowing that this perverse psychopath will be judged by a higher court than we can convene, here and now.
