'The people have spoken': Michigan judge rejects lawsuit from disavowed Trump attorney

Source: Detroit Free Press

A Michigan federal judge ruled against a sweeping legal bid to overturn election results in the state, determining the lawsuit brought by an ally of President Donald Trump was riddle with "theories, conjecture and speculation" but little evidence of wrongdoing.

U.S. District Judge Linda V. Parked ruled against a request from Sidney Powell — an attorney disavowed by the Trump campaign who still champions its causes — to force the state to award its electoral votes to Trump despite President-elect Joe Biden winning the state.

"In fact, this lawsuit seems to be less about achieving the relief Plaintiffs seek — as much of that relief is beyond the power of this Court — and more about the impact of their allegations on People’s faith in the democratic process and their trust in our government," reads a portion of the 36-page opinion.

"Plaintiffs ask this Court to ignore the orderly statutory scheme established to challenge elections and to ignore the will of millions of voters. This, the Court cannot, and will not, do. The people have spoken."

Gregory Rohl, a Michigan attorney working with Powell, said he needed to meet with his team before they would rule out an appeal.

"Again I believe that our projected path to resolution of this issue for Michigan and national voters always contemplated ultimate review by (the U.S. Supreme Court)," Rohl said in an email Monday morning.

"Since so many successful inroads have been made through the various filings on this voter fraud issue across the country, I need to meet with my team and decide whether our case needs to move forward on appeal. I'm prepared to do so and believe all voters deserve our continued commitment to the integrity of our Democratic Process."

These people are insane. "Since so many successful inroads have been made through the various filings on this voter fraud issue across the country" Idiot. being 1-40ish nationally isn't "many successful inroads" is not even a boar path in the woods.

BREAKING: Georgia federal judge DISMISSES Kraken conspiracy case from the bench.

Rulings from the bench in federal court are rare. A strong message the judge thought it was clearly meritless.

Trump and his allies are now 1-48 in post-election litigation.

On of the GOP's central complaints is that a large margin of victory MUST be fraudulent. Probably because they had a subpar fraud in place and are seething because it didn't work.

other than you need actual evidence to be seriously considered. And the courts didn't define what that evidence might look like, just that what was presented was insufficient - hearsay tales of woe, physical distances between observers and counts. I did not hear much mention of chain of custody of ballots issues, just the boatloads of ballots from N. Korea - but they never presented how these supposedly polluted the actual ballot pools.

So, hoping this nonsense gets buried for good. This is pure bunk, and vintage Trump, trying to create an alternate reality and making the world march to it.

These lawsuits are simply to give Trump some fleeting shadow of bunk hypothesis to feed his worshiping supporters. Pure propaganda bone.

"more about the impact of their allegations on People’s faith in the democratic process and their trust in our government".

That's it in a nutshell and no need to say more.

Thank you, Judge Parked......... ......
