BREAKING: Judge dismisses lawsuit challenging Biden's win in Georgia
Source: Atlanta Journal-Constitution
A federal judge threw out a lawsuit Monday that relied on conspiracy theories to try to invalidate Georgias election results that showed Democrat Joe Biden defeated President Donald Trump.
U.S. District Judge Timothy Batten dismissed the lawsuit, which was bought by former Trump attorney Sidney Powell in an attempt to decertify Georgias election.
They want this court to substitute its judgment for the 2.5 million voters who voted for Biden, Batten said in court in Atlanta. This Im unwilling to do.
The decision leaves Georgias election intact, supporting state officials statements that there was no evidence of widespread fraud.

(17,067 posts)1. Question here
So are the voting machines UNFROZEN? Is this the lawsuit that froze the machines?

(44,974 posts)2. That's my question as well.
There was so many lawsuits, this might be an entirely different from frozen machines?
Are machines still frozen. Early voting starts December 14th.

A judge assigned to a Republican-led lawsuit alleging widespread fraud in the presidential election in Georgia issued an order late Sunday night blocking plans to wipe or reset voting machines used in three counties in the state.
U.S. District Judge Timothy Batten Sr. revealed in his four-page directive that he held a hearing via Zoom Sunday evening on the suit one of two cases filed in federal courts last week by Sidney Powell, an outspoken Texas attorney who joined President Donald Trumps legal team earlier this month only to be dismissed from it a few days later.
In those directives, Batten initially appeared to impose a statewide ban on clearing voting machines, then said he couldnt do that because of the issue about the counties not being named as defendants in the suit.

The case that was thrown out was one of the cases and did have the same judge, Timothy Batten Sr., that was the one that froze the machines. The second case may have been one in Michigan per the Politico article:
In the pair of suits in Georgia and Michigan, Powells team has filed statements of experts and witnesses alleging that Bidens apparent victory and elsewhere was the result of implausible vote totals in specific areas and supposed episodes in which Biden won large batches of votes as Trump picked up few or none.
