A man with a 'manifesto' threatened to detonate bomb inside a Democratic headquarters in Washington
Source: Wash Post
A man with a manifesto threatened to detonate bomb inside a Democratic headquarters in Washington state, officials say
Two senior volunteers were working inside the Spokane County Democrats office Wednesday morning when a man walked in and handed them a piece of paper. Then, he told him he was ready to blow up the office.
I dont want to hurt you. I do have a bomb. Please read this manifesto and share it widely, the man said, according to the local Democratic Party chair, Nicole Bishop, who was not in the office at the time.
The two women, and a man who later came to help, managed to de-escalate the situation. But before police responded, the man with the manifesto appeared to have started a fire inside the office, the Spokesman-Review reported.
The women, whom Bishop declined to name for safety reasons, were unharmed, but the organizations offices were significantly damaged by the blaze, Bishop said. The unidentified man making the threat was arrested by the Spokane Police Department after he left the office, the local paper reported.

More right-wing terror.
Democratic leadership needs to call on Trump to denounce his RW cult of terrorists.
Spokane, Wa is a hotbed for this shit.

(6,265 posts)has said, we are going to face an insurgency by the fascists from now on. The current president along with his 'advisors', Stephen Miller chief among them, have thought this out. We shall have an underground movement of people like this dangerous terrorist from now on causing great harm to our country and it's citizens. This is just the start. We have a terrorist group that has formed and they are serious because their leader told them to start this mess. African-Americans and other minority culture, not white, better watch their six. Our leaders are not stupid. They are experienced, thank god... It is still a cold war so far.
Trump is a traitor to America and its citizens. He and his deranged forces must be dealt with firmly and without mercy. Except where warranted.
And for anyone who will start lamenting that this will start a war, it has already begun. I stand by this flag, as I always have, not the trump flag. It needs burning every time one is captured.

(4,078 posts)As usual. I used to think he was a bit over the top, but now I believe he is spot on.
And meanwhile we have fascist cops in Florida raiding the homes of decent people, pointing guns at their three-year-olds, to try to scare them from doing something helpful.
the fascists are out in the open, spoiling for a fight.

(9,760 posts)the terrorist described here would move all the white people out of the building before detonating the explosives? Unlikely. Every American, even Rs, are in danger from this deadly movement Trump has egged on. You set off explosives, unless you've carefully isolated exactly who you want to harm, you don't know who you might injure or kill.
Also, what does "watch their six," mean? Or is six a typo for "step"?
I like your idea of capturing and burning Trump flags. Long ago we ought to have done that with Confederate flags. Not to be done by individual citizens. I mean way back when the conflict was won by the North and sentiment would have supported, such a national law should have been enacted. I know, it's against free speech. But Germany bans Nazi crap, and I don't blame them.

(6,265 posts)I know from experience ALL are fair game for this type of terrorist. The innocent as well as those not innocent according to this terrorist are either collateral damage or taking out his enemy. Watching ones six is watching who or what is sneaking up behind you. Watch your back in this as well as be alert. They have declared war on the blue state occupants at the command of their fuhrer.

Sorry to hear you know about this from experience. Just reading about it is disturbing enough.

They weren't locals, they were wacko transplants from a neo-Nazi cell on the coast. White Supremacists from all over the country were flocking to E. Washington and N. Idaho back then.
They have since totally infested and politically polluted that extremely beautiful, magical part of the country, and the FBI has an enormous infiltrator presence in their network. I hope President Biden takes extreme measures to quarantine them from terrorizing and harming innocent people.

FERRY COUNTY, Wash. The leader of "The Base," a neo-Nazi terrorist group, has ties to rural northeastern Washington and the Pacific Northwest, according to an investigation published on Thursday by The Guardian.
Discussions about the group rose to prominence in the Spokane area when claims on social media said "The Base" was planning a "hate camp" in eastern Washington
The Southern Poverty Law Center, which documents hate groups in America, said in August that "The Base" isn't listed as a registered hate group.
According to The Guardian, "The Base" was recently the target of FBI raids after a domestic terrorism investigation "uncovered their plans to start a race war."

Meantime, treasonous assholes on the right are showing up with weapons to assassinate Democrats and Republicans who so much as speak out against Trump.

SPOKANE, Wash. A man who is accused of starting a fire at the Spokane County Democrats headquarters is facing a first-degree arson charge, Spokane police said.
Peter Yeager, 45, of Grand Coulee, Washington, remains in the Spokane County Jail and is expected to appear in court on Thursday afternoon.
He described himself as a "lone wolf" and said he does not align with a political party, but was angry with the entire government system, police said.
Police said Yeager walked into the Teamsters labor union building on N. Division Street, which houses offices of the Spokane County Democrats, on Wednesday with what appeared to be an explosive device in a backpack.
According to Spokane Police Corporal Ron Van Tassel, the backpack had smoke billowing from it when he left it in the building. Witnesses said the backpack had wires hanging from it.
Investigators determined there was no explosive device in the bag, but it did contain gasoline and oil used to start a fire, police said.
