Inslee: Washington state to receive 40% fewer COVID-19 vaccinations next week
Source: Seattle Times
OLYMPIA The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said that Washingtons COVID-19 vaccine allocation will be reduced next week by 40%, according to Gov. Jay Inslee.
Inslee made the remark in a tweet Thursday morning.
The CDC has informed us that WAs vaccine allocation will be cut by 40 percent next week and that all states are seeing similar cuts, he wrote. This is disruptive and frustrating.
We need accurate, predictable numbers to plan and ensure on-the-ground success, added Inslee. No explanation was given.

Most likely he has already sold or promised his cut of the vaccines, at a huge mark up.

When I heard the plans discussed on NPR last week it sounded way beyond the current govt's capacity. And sure enough.

Pfizer says it has "millions more doses" of the #COVID19 vaccine waiting in a warehouse for the U.S. government to tell it where to send it.
"As of now, we have not received any shipping instructions for additional doses," Pfizer said.
