1. This will PREVENT Trump from ever running for Federal office.

The Trump kids/extended family, will too bear the shame of their father, for those rotten apples do not fall far from the tree.

After yesterday, I think there is support in the Senate for conviction this time.

Kinda hard on the legacy. And that's pretty much all he cares about. Himself, and how he is remembered. Loves to be famous. Congress will make him infamous. The stain on the country that he subjected us to for 4 years will follow him for the rest of his life, and beyond.

so he can't pardon himself, his family, or any of the brain donors that invaded the place. All of those people need to face justice. He's pathetic. Just absolutely pathetic. But he's a wounded animal, and very dangerous right now. He has too much power, and doesn't care about anything but himself.

Article I, Section 3 of the United States constitution explicitly says that in terms of political consequences, "judgment in cases of impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust or profit under the United States."

As I read this, if he is removed the consequences of the judgment are limited to:

removal from office

disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust or profit under the United States.

Seems to me the office of president qualifies as an "office of trust." (i.e., he would be disqualified from serving as president).

This is huge. Trump fucked up big time, and there's no coming back from this.
