Given yesterday's debacle, Trump probably does not trust Pence to give him a pardon.
If he does pardon himself, that is one case that needs to go to the Supreme Court ASAP. Even with the Republican Court we have now, I cannot believe that they would open the door to unlimited crimes by a president who can just pardon himself for all of them. Essentially, he could murder any Democratic Speaker of the House, for example, and then immediately pardon himself.
