Loeffler concedes to Warnock in Georgia Senate race
Source: Washington Post
Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) has conceded to Raphael Warnock in their Senate race that most networks called Tuesday night for Warnock. In a video message released late Thursday afternoon, Loeffler said she had called Warnock earlier in the day to congratulate him and wish him well in serving Georgia. “Rest assured the fight to advance the American Dream is far from over. The fight to protect conservative values is far from over. And the fight against socialism and the radical agenda of the left is very far from over,” Loeffler said. “I fully intend to stay in this fight for freedom, for our values and for the future of this great country.” Link to tweet Read more: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/01/07/congress-election-biden-capitol-live-updates/#link-26A45GXTBFGBJOBY3F4DFIMEUE TEXT for above tweet Kelly Loeffler
@KLoeffler Serving our great state has been the honor of my lifetime. Thank you, Georgia! 5:47 PM · Jan 7, 2021 Glad she made a decision not to drag this out because I fully expected that both her and Perdue would.

6. The old gal found something she couldn't buy
It must have come as a great shock.
I have suspicions that her extremely hateful campaign ads that flooded the airwaves turned a lot of Georgians off. I thought it was cute that the last one I saw run was about two minutes before the polls closed. |

15. Next step: kick Loeffler's ass out of the WNBA. . .
. . .confiscate the 50% ownership she has of the Atlanta Dream.
LeBron James has already suggested putting together an ownership group for this purpose: Link to tweet ![]() ![]() ![]() |

21. The one who I noticed went full loon was Mo Brooks
Brooks has steadily moved towards the Steve King wing of the GOP.
![]() I think Hawley, with that book cancellation, may be destined to be relegated to the fringe RW media outlets being his only supporters. When it comes to the state of Missouri and its 2 GOP Senators at this point, the contrast couldn't be more stark then Hawley vs Blunt - Blunt ( as a teller and participating in the process) ![]() Hawley (as a seditionist and participating against the process) ![]() |

Ae these fuckers Memorex? Same shit, over and over and over. What is that radical agenda? Oh my those fucking lefties want to give health care to people, end wars, fight for the common man and not the oligarchs, protect the world in which we rely on for life, bring justice TRUE justice to our criminal system...yea those Commie bastards. |

22. They obviously have a booklet of "talking points"
where they will write what seems to be a sometimes reasonable and legitimate piece but then it becomes obvious that they are required to append it with the nasty and juvenile talking point statements.

23. She had no cover from Raffensperger
He was adamant the election results were accurate. She couldn't say "It was rigged! Crooked! Fixed! Fake results!"
Mitt Romney said it right. Tell the truth to the public. Conor Lamb's defense of PA's accurate results and methods of counting sure got some Republicans upset. |

25. I watched the entire Electoral process on 2 screens
(House on CSPAN on the TV and Senate streaming CSPAN2 on my little convertible laptop) and didn't get in the bed until just after 4 am this morning.
Saw Lamb's speech live and got confused with what was going on because the GOP started continually interrupting and I couldn't make out what they were yelling about until I saw they had been yelling for a point of order to strike words from the record (which was eventually shot down by Pelosi). Then the House cameras switched to an overhead shot showing people exiting the rows and going into the aisle, as the fisticuffs were apparently about to happen between sides. ![]() I had never caught when he had given speeches on the floor before, so I was impressed. I was also glad to see my own Congressman (like all the other Democrats from the PA delegation) out there too defending this ridiculous assault on our state. ![]() |

28. I didn't think she'd fight any harder after Trump crumbled. Purdue, the same. As long as the ...
... camera's on the both are tough, but the fact is the politics are rhetoric, the goal is the pile pork available to a rich investing Senator.

then she would be suing for a recount and fighting the results, not only because she was an incumbent, but had sunk tens of millions of her own money into the campaign.

30. Maybe, but its obvious she wasn't totally sold on yet another recount that would have to be ...
... paid for by her.
She spent the $10's of M expecting to be pulled through by Trump. She was betting more access to the trough would repay her investment. If she were a true believer, she'd be in court right now. |

31. From what I understood from GA
(notably when it happened with the general election with 3 recounts) is that recounts in Georgia do not have a candidate cost (like Wisconsin does). They end up being paid for by the taxpayers of GA.

I think that, in consequence of the riot, she decided against following the Trump example.
