In a lengthy written statement posted to the White House website and shared on her Twitter account, she said that her heart goes out to the six people who have died since the attack, including two Capitol police officers.


"I am disappointed and disheartened with what happened last week. I find it shameful that surrounding these tragic events there has been salacious gossip, unwarranted personal attacks, and false misleading accusations on me — from people who are looking to be relevant and have an agenda," she said. "This time is solely about healing our country and its citizens. It should not be used for personal gain."

Unlike most other first ladies of the modern era (meaning From JFK's Presidency on) Melania is the absolute least relevant in my opinion. Jackie was grace personified and created the image of Camelot in the 60's, Ladybird was groundbreaking, being one of the first first ladies to get directly involved in political issues and policy making, Pat Nixon continued on Ladybird's path being active in representing the US abroad and doing a lot of good will missions. We all know Betty Ford, unfortunately, because of her struggle with alcoholism, but she was also a staunch supporter of the ERA. Roslyn Carter was the prototype for the "co-president" model. She was Jimmy's closest advisor. Then there is Nancy "just say no" Reagan. Didn't like her, but she was consequential. Barbara Bush was a force in the family and a force in Washington. Then there is Hillary Clinton, who was simply awesome as first lady, then went on to forge her own career in politics. Laura Bush for all her problems, was heavily involved in literacy programs. Then there is Michelle, who competed with Jackie in grace and Hillary in muscle. Then there is shit for brains, Melania Trump. She doesn't have an original bone in her body, no substance, no grace, no character. She is as banal as her husband, focused on "anti-bullying" when her husband is the biggest bully around, hates Christmas, and only cares about how she looks.

I did not know that people were saying she had anything to do with the riots. Why would she? She's a nobody really. Trump doesn't listen to her like other Presidents listened to their wives. She has done absolutely nothing to distinguish herself (in a positive way) for the last 5 years. She is a nothing, an empty vessel. Why would people be blaming her for any of the rioting? She isn't even worth the blame.

Her statement of course, was ridiculous. NO, we don't need to see this from "all perspectives". When hundreds of thousands of people in DC and millions across the country turned out to protest Trump after his inauguration, no one stormed any of the Capitol buildings. We resisted Trump's worst impulses, but we did not carry on trying to over turn the election by force. We suspected that there were irregularities in the 2016 election, but ultimately, the leaders of our Party, accepted the peaceful transfer of power, because we are not deluded idiots. There is no "other" perspective. This election was as clean or cleaner, than any election in the last 50 years. We know Republicans always try to cheat, because their policies don't serve the actual people (aside from the very wealthy). The insurrectionists were not "driven by passion" of participating in elections. They were driven by entitlement unique to White conservatives who think that they have a divine right to be in charge. Lead by one of the most narcissistic losers ever to sit in the White House. End of story.

One last thing. This country cannot, and will not heal until those who perpetrated this insurrection are held accountable. That means your whole family and the Republican bugs that helped foment and unleash the crowd of traitors by lying about the election. We will begin healing when you are all in prison.
