House Oversight calls for Parler investigation

House Oversight and Reform Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) is requesting that the FBI investigate Parler and the social media platform’s role in the deadly insurrection.

She also announced Thursday that her committee will look into Parler as part of a broader investigation of websites that may promote violence.

In a letter to the FBI she asked for the agency to examine Parler’s connections to the protest-turned-riot “including as a potential facilitator of planning and incitement related to the violence” and “as a repository of key evidence posted by users on its site.”

7. They need to look into the timing and influence of Mercer's financing of Parler

along with the relationship of Mercer and other RW oligarchs to this movement and the events leading to Jan 6th.

They enabled and financed Militia, White Nationalist, Neo-Confederates and other American extremists like Ammon Bundy, and assisted in coordination of their actions. They did so in the same way and to the same purpose as some in the Saudi and Qatari governments have enabled, financed and coordinated Wahhabism and its offshoots such as Taliban and ISIS: as a means of applying pressure and distraction to conventional governments and advancing their own cultural views by terrorist actions.
