Source: WUSA-TV
On Friday, a Texas man was arrested outside the White House grounds for having a weapon and ammunition. The man told officers he needed information about the Oval Office, according to court documents.
Court documents show Macias Santiago, a 37-year-old man from Midland, Texas, parked in front of a parking meter on Constitution Ave in a pickup truck when he asked an officer if he could park there. Thats when court documents show he also stated he needed details about the Oval Office.
According to court documents, thats when the officer noticed a firearm holster in the truck and asked Santiago if he had a weapon, to which he told the officer yes.
Officers recovered a full functional .40 caliber pistol, two fully loaded 8 round magazines, and an opened box of 79 rounds of ammunition, according to court documents. Santiago was arrested for carrying a pistol without a license, unlawful possession of a firearm, unregistered ammunition, and unlawful transport of a firearm.

Looks like we still have a lot of brainwashed crazies to lock up and face consequences for falling into the far right sinkhole. Another wasted American life and future and a family that will suffer as well. Murdoch and Limbaugh must be real proud of their faithful boyz.

(3,013 posts)And we are lucky they are mostly too dumb to be really sneaky and capable. Maybe the Secret Service should set up a special drive thru lane near the WH for info seekers. See how many more they can arrest when they come armed and signal malintent. Rats go in but they don't come out.

Then, search them and lock 'em up.......

(8,820 posts)he didn't know that all the windows in the white house are bulletproof glass????????
A long time ago, one of my friends was an active Marine and the Marine Corps guarded the outside perimeter of the White House.
I don't know if it is still true, but he said his Standing Orders were, that anyone approaching the White House, like running across the lawn towards the White House was to be fired on and dropped in their tracks.
Not sure if that is still true, but sounds great to me...........
I really worry for Biden, Harris, the Senators and House Members, etc If a dis-organized bunch of clowns can come within minutes of a Capitol whole sale slaughter, The Secret Service has their hands full this time around..............

(14,891 posts)I half freaked out hearing that...
.and that was the beginning of eventually tightening up traffic by the front of the WH.
When I first toured the WH early in Clinton's term for Xmas the next day I took a bus from Georgetown to a museum not on The Mall and it sailed right on by the front side of the W.
Then a few years later they had closed the street off with barriers to cars.

I would guess that packin' would be typical for men from Midland, Texas. That IS their manhood.
Anyone that stupid shouldn't be allowed to carry a cap pistol.

(4,436 posts)They all think DC is just like Texas.
They drive around with a loaded weapon inside their truck. You know, all Second Amendmentee like. They think its just natural to walk around, or drive around, with a loaded weapon in public.
News flash for you, stranger. This here big city aint like the Wild West. Our citizens who follow the Second Amendment here ARE WELL REGULATED, and wear the uniform of our nation as a part of the Army National Guard.
If you want to carry inside DC, then either be a sworn police officer, or join the National Guard, and obey the orders of the officers over you.
Peace, out.
(Im retired Army Guard, I played with my machine guns only as part of my well-regulated duty, and it pisses me off to see low IQ types think they are Jim Bowie or Davy Crockett here to defend the Alamo.).

(14,490 posts)you are likely to return to find a busted window and no gun. I've seen it happen often in towns much less violent than Washington.
If I was big into guns, I would not have a NRA or hunting club sticker on my vehicle. That's the kind of evidence thieves look for.....gun racks, holsters, stickers, shell casings, etc. so they know there's probably a gun hidden somewhere.
