Agents visit home of pink hat woman pictured at Capitol riot

SANDY LAKE, Pa. (AP) — Federal agents on Thursday were at the Pennsylvania home of a woman who told a magazine this week she was at the U.S. Capitol last month during the riot by supporters of then-President Donald Trump, a TV station reported.

WKBN-TV said investigators were conducting court-authorized activity at the Sandy Lake home of Rachel Powell. She told The New Yorker she was the person recorded at the Capitol talking on a bullhorn and wearing a distinctive pink hat.

The FBI has published her photo, saying she unlawfully entered the Capitol and asking for the public’s help in locating her. The New Yorker said Powell did not disclose her location when speaking to a reporter.

Powell, 40, a mother of eight children, told the magazine that she was the woman in the pink hat but stopped short of confirming she was shown bashing in a window.

You have to find an over the air broadcast-NFL rules don't permit you to listen online to the actual game. Here's a Wichita station from the affiliates website: Wichita KNSS/1330 AM, KNSS/98.7 FM.

But the playoff games at least down here on 98.7 were from Westwood one. I was wondering if Mitch was able to do playoff and the Superbowl and it was only broadcast in the KC area and not out to the affiliates?

It takes a staggering amount of money to support just one child, I can not imagine supporting eight. I would suppose that one would have to rely on government assistance and private help to provide for them especially if they go on to college unless you were wealthy. I made pretty good money, but it sure was not easy since kids demand far more than what I did when growing up. The challenge for today's kids is far more demanding than when I went to college and worked my way through. I have reviewed some of my kids and now my grand kids texts and the amount of information far surpasses that for which I had to master. This is especially the case in science. The the area of electronics, for example, its a staggering amount that demands not only basic mastery, but also inept ability to use extensive computer tools and increased mathematical skills. Throw in cars, insurance, travel, clothing along with tuition books, room and board and a hundred other demands and it can be a real challenge.

All the reporting I've seen on her has neglected to mention that she not only broke the window but had insider info on how to breach other floors of the building by breaking an interior skylight because she'd been in the room before. That's pretty specific, and makes me think this "rural Pennsylvania mom from nowhere" has a background or a relationship that few people know about.

As for opening doors for the terrorists, the cops were left under staffed and under-armed -- deliberately! -- and found themselves fighting a quite literally overwhelming force of drooling reptilian-brained soldiers and a hefty number of military trained and militia-armed insurgents. Letting them in rather than fighting a useless battle to prevent entry may have been the best choice available.

Of course if it is determined that any of these cops actually abetted and worked with the terrorists, then they can go the hell to Florence or Guantanamo with the worst of them.

And however this sin living sin against fecundity (8 kids!) got the floor plans for the building must be determined -- and I think it will as soon as she’s busted and sat down in an interview room with a couple of FBI agents.

Now that she’s being tracked by the FBI and faces imprisonment in her final forever home in Florence, she might be thinking about how she screwed up her lives and the lives of her 8 kids. But beforehand? I figure she’s incapable and of contemplating and perfectly willing to squelch any nascent urge to do so.

But the FBI will find her and she will tell the FBI the names of her contacts in the terrorist organizations she had either joined or supported lovingly from outside. She should be charged with conspiracy to overthrow the government. She should also be charged with murder.

A Mercer County woman being sought by police for her involvement in the U.S. Capitol riot last month has been taken into custody.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced that Rachel Marie Powell, 40, of Sandy Lake, was arrested Thursday night in New Castle. She is charged with obstruction, depredation of government property, being in a restricted building with a dangerous weapon and violent entry or disorderly conduct.

Video footage captured Jan. 6 at the Capitol showed a woman wearing a pink hat and black jacket with a fur-lined hood. She used a bullhorn “to instruct others how to further gain control of the Capitol,” according to a criminal complaint filed against her Friday in U.S. District Court in Pittsburgh.

The complaint said the video showed a group of people talking about how to penetrate the Capitol.
