John Pierce, who had been Rittenhouse's lawyer, did not reply to a direct message on Twitter earlier, but did tweet late Thursday:
Pierce, a Los Angles litigator, was the first name announced by Lin Wood, a high-profile Atlanta attorney who was later caught up in challenging the presidential election, as leading Rittenhouse's defense.

(52,997 posts)...because the lawyer explained to Kyle how bad this looked.
Let's see...violating parole by not keeping the prosecution informed as to his whereabouts, the beer party with white supremacists, the continual begging - not to mention that the reason Kyle knows lawyers in the first place is that he went somewhere he had no business being and killed two people with a firearm he obtained in an illegal straw purchase. All this is going to make Kyle's self-defense alibi very hard to sell to a jury, and the lawyer told him that.
