Iran urges Biden to return to nuclear deal

Source: Reuters

Iran foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, in an interview published Saturday, urged Washington to act fast to return to the 2015 nuclear agreement.

If U.S. sanctions are not eased by Feb. 21, Zarif points out that legislation passed by parliament would force the Iranian government to harden its nuclear stance.

Adding that elections in June could further jeopardize the deal, saying quote:

“Time is running out for the Americans, both because of the parliament bill and the election atmosphere that will follow the Iranian New Year.”

Do you really think the Iranians are suddenly going to be transparent when they never have been?

Here is an article from 2017

Iran rejects US call for UN nuclear watchdog to inspect more sites

The Iran agreement was not just between Iran and the US. Many other countries and the UN were involved which did not break the treaty. Iran has consistently refused international inspections.

President Obama said Iran was a state sponsor of terrorism

Obama just made his clearest statement yet on Iran's support of terrorism

If you think that type of nation is going to comply with agreements there is nothing more I can say. I accept what President Obama has said about the matter.

...which means power generation and production of medical isotopes. I wonder if they’d accept a deal where we send them American nuclear experts to work in the plants alongside the Iranians? Our nuclear experts are top notch and could do two things: help them run their plants safely and efficiently, and prevent material being diverted to weapons production.
