Biden gets 62% approval in CNBC economic survey, topping first ratings of the last four presidents

President Joe Biden is on the best presidential honeymoon since at least Bill Clinton in 1993.
A special online edition of the CNBC All-America Economic Survey focusing on the Biden agenda finds his approval rating at a sky-high 62%, beating the first presidential ratings of Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Donald Trump. In fact, Bidens initial rating is 18 points higher than Trumps.
The survey of 1,000 people conducted earlier this month sees Biden with majority approval for his handling of the economy and for uniting the country. Sixty-five percent of the public approve of his actions so far when it comes to fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
Unlike Trump, Biden has made the coronavirus his most important issue in office and throughout the campaign, said Jay Campbell, a Hart Research partner and the Democratic pollster for the survey. And the health and economic plans he has put forward have a great deal of resonance with the public.

(3,696 posts)Twitter is full of folks admitting that Biden wasn't their 1st, 2nd or even 3rd choice but now they see that he was the perfect choice. He's impressing folks across the political spectrum which is reflected in his overall approval numbers. In our partisan environment getting 60% approval is unheard of. The Media needs to focus on that extraordinary approval but they're too focused on Trump's declining approval with Republicans.

I am so impressed so far. He actually gets it.
Pres Joe is also polling very well among the younger crowd, which is so heartening for Our future as a country.

(7,263 posts)The nation is NOT as divided as the MSM sensationalists would have you believe.
Yes, there is a division between the stupid and the sane - but the vast majority of folks, including both parties, support his programs.
The vocal extremists are shouting and gyrating and speaking in tongues so they get more attention because rating$.

(13,041 posts)really impressive! I think in part because the country was collectively exhausted of how horrible 45 was that Biden, the natural fit, seems overwhelmingly impressive. If we had had a fairly "normal" previous president/administration i don't think Biden's ratings would be as high.
That said, Joe has always been my first choice and his great rating doesn't surprise me
