Biden to order flags to half staff to mark 500K virus deaths

President Biden on Monday will order flags on federal land be lowered to half-staff for the next five days to mark the United States surpassing 500,000 deaths from the coronavirus pandemic.
Biden will also deliver remarks at a candle-lighting ceremony later Monday and hold a moment of silence.
"Tonight’s events, including the president’s remarks, will highlight the magnitude of loss this milestone marks for the American people and so many families across the country," White House press secretary Jen Psaki said at a briefing. "He will also speak to the power of the American people to turn the tide on this pandemic by working together, following public health guidelines and getting vaccinated as soon as they are eligible."

Psaki added that the remarks would not focus on the administration's pandemic response, but instead are intended to "have a human moment and a moment to remember the people who we've lost over the last year."

of the Clinton administration. In addition to other major work, they kept rolling out a long string of smaller moves. They got slammed by the MSM, but the American people loved it. I wonder who it is operating behind the scenes?
a lot of the Qrazy Crowd will see it as a sign that Trump is still running things but the Deep State is working to obscure the significance of the lowering of the flags for Limbaugh.

...I wonder how many pundits of a certain viewpoint will now claim that he bears the responsibility for the grim milestone? Hey, "the buck stops here," right?
Conversely, had the pandemic and resulting death toll dramatically slowed, preventing the U.S. from reaching half-a-million deaths, would those same pundits have claimed that it was something the Trump administration had done that had resulted in "stopping COVID," and that 45 should have gotten the credit for "ending the disease" here on American soil?
