Trump shares plans for new super PAC in Mar-a-Lago meeting
Source: Politico
The decision was made in a multi-hour meeting at Trumps Mar-a-Lago estate on Thursday. Trump gathered his top political lieutenants, including Donald Trump Jr., former campaign manager Bill Stepien, former deputy campaign manager Justin Clark, former campaign manager Brad Parscale, former White House social media director Dan Scavino and senior adviser Jason Miller. Alex Cannon, an attorney who has been advising the Trump team on the post-White House plans, was also present.
Lewandowski, himself a former campaign manager for Trump in 2016, did not respond to requests for comment. In a statement, Trump spokesman Jason Miller said the former president will announce more details about his political operation "in the coming weeks."
MAGA supporters and candidates supporting President Trumps America First agenda are going to be impressed with the political operation being built out here," Miller said. "We expect formal announcements of the full team in the coming weeks, which will include some very talented operatives not yet named."

(101,271 posts)"First, we have to drop the guys who've been charged with something. Doesn't matter if I pardoned them, it just looks bad, and invites attention from the cops and those damn district attorneys. Maybe even US attorneys, now I can't sack 'em. So Bannon's out. Second, lose that weirdo Stephen Miller. I mean, he really believes that white supremacy crap, just like the marks! Good to have when you need votes, but this is strictly about extracting cash.
"Now, the idea is that everything, and I mean everything, involving money in the Republican party goes through us. If a candidate needs street cred, they have to come to me. And I'll give them the nod in public, if I can say I'm raising money for them. Doesn't matter that we'll give them jack shit, and make them use our fronts for various "expenses" - heh, heh. Then the big spenders think we have the power, so they'll donate to us to "give" to the candidates they want to push their ideas. If they get elected, then, fine, let the moneybags talk to them. As long as we got the election money, I'm happy. If they lose, then fuck 'em. Losers get nothing.
"And we want the base's cash too. They'll believe anything I say now - they're what I meant about Fifth Avenue. So we have to get them to send the dollars to us, not candidates or the party. That means big branding. "MAGA" ,"America First", and of course "Trump" on everything. No one else can use that. They'll eat it up. You're the political marketing guys. I want them eating, drinking and breathing this stuff - on Facebook, Twitter, OAN or Newsmax - if those guys pay the fee, of course. Put the screws on Fox - they need to know they're up shit creek without me, so they need to do me a favor. Or twenty."

(19,187 posts)We don't hear from the "tea party" dudes anymore. The GOP is going to realize they can't go any further to the right. They either come back to the middle or disappear altogether. Either way the country is better off.

Republicans fill his coffers with PAC cash because they want Trumps endorsement.
And then Trump endorses some nutjob to unseat a Republican incumbent.
