I just found out that I may be eligible for the vaccine soon here in Georgia!
All teachers and school staff started getting vaccinated beginning on March 10 here in Georgia. The public outcry about Governor Kemp not allowing teachers and school staff to get vaccinated was heard loud and clear by Kemp, who is running for re-election.
I am so hopeful that my child with asthma will be able to get a vaccine by late this year or early next year. Maybe, they will be able to go to school in person by the 2021-2922 school year.

(19,364 posts)Trump was not called by his name. They referred to him as "the other guy" and I loved it.

off of it. I had forgot about that, and you're correct where is the press? Or the DOJ?

(4,176 posts)Got my first Moderna shot today, #2 scheduled for April 8.
Wife and I tested positive six weeks ago. I had no symptoms, have had three negative tests.
She was knocked for a loop -- no breathing problems, just had no energy. For ten days she spent 24 hours a day in bed, napping on the sofa, barely ate, terrible headache coming and going. Doc put her on a steroid regimen that ended a few days ago. She cannot take vaccine until two weeks after ending the steroids, so, she's scheduled in two weeks for her first shot. She's up now, runs out of energy, headaches recurring less and less.
We are in a rural area of VA where the vaccine has been slow to arrive, now, our little local hospital is holding clinics every other week, they hope to have supplies to hold two-day clinics every week starting end of March.

(15,121 posts)Glad to see adults doing adult things for a change. And I'm not sorry at all that MF45 isn't in the video. He would ruin it no matter what.
Anyway, I want to, but I'm not old enough.
I'll be 65 in 6 months. The pharmacist told me yesterday that they're going to have a 60-65 age group, not just jump to 55-65. Do the pharmacists have an inside scoop on what the next groups will be?

(28,493 posts)Just a bit of sarcasm here. The problem isn't that people aren't lining up to get it, the problem is that there's still not enough vaccine for all of us who want it. That ad should be held back for a few weeks to reach those who actually are hesitating.
