Over 1 million COVID-19 vaccinations have been given at Major League Baseball stadiums that have been converted into mass vaccination centers.
A total of 11 MLB stadiums have served their local communities as vaccination sites in the off-season, the league noted in a press release on Friday.
Oakland Coliseum, Marlins Park, Dodger Stadium, Yankee Stadium, Citi Field and PNC Park have all committed to continuing to provide inoculations after opening day. Maid Park and Petco Park will stop disbursing shots, while the Colorado Rockies' Coors Field is still awaiting a decision on whether or not it will continue to be used as a vaccination center, MLB noted.
Fenway Park and Globe Life Field were also involved in providing shots during the off-season, according to the release.

Sure... it's no Camden Yards, but we like it.

But this thread is about Covid Vaccination Sites. --- Looks like the stadium parking lot facility has been busy. I looked it up on Google Maps with a real-time traffic conditions enabled. The two entrance roads leading to the stadium parking lot are colored red or orange: so things are at a standstill or moving slowly as the entrance is approached. When I checked again a few hours later, the "red zone" had gotten smaller, so things ebb and flow throughout the day.
I'm sure the folks who live nearby aren't too thrilled with the daily all-day traffic jams on their access roads... but maybe they're used to it with the seasonal game-day traffic.
