No convictions for St Louis officers who beat Black undercover colleague at protest
Source: Associated Press
No convictions were returned for three white St Louis police officers accused of beating a Black undercover colleague so severely during a protest over another officers acquittal that he had to undergo multiple surgeries.
A jury on Monday acquitted officer Steven Korte of charges of deprivation of rights under color of law and of lying to the FBI in connection to the attack on officer Luther Hall.
It happened when Hall was mistaken for a protester during demonstrations that erupted after former police officer Jason Stockley, who is white, was found not guilty in the 2011 death of Anthony Lamar Smith, who was Black.
Hall described the 2017 attack to jurors as a free-for-all.

Its a wonder the US doesnt look like Beirut. Thank you Every POC who is still restraining themselves from going ballistic over this kind of crap. We will find justice and it will be very painful for some. However, the tide is turning.

The mentality in America is yeah you're a cop but you're a black cop so you are not as important. Always been this way. You're black so you cannot expect the same justice others get that are not African-American.
