Fox News has hired former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as a contributor, the network announced Thursday.
Fox Newss hiring of Pompeo, already a frequent guest on the network, installs another top Trump administration official and staunch defender of the former president as a fixture on the network, which has also brought on former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany. Fox News announced last week that McEnany would co-host "Outnumbered," which airs weekdays at noon.
Pompeo will offer analysis on Fox News and Fox Business network both during the day and during primetime hours, Fox News Media said in a release. Hell make his debut as a contributor Friday on Fox & Friends, the networks signature morning show.
Mike Pompeo is one of Americas most recognized and respected voices on foreign policy and national security issues, Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott said in the release. I look forward to his contributions across our range of platforms to share his distinct perspective with our millions of viewers.

(14,307 posts)I remember Mike Myers' "I married an Axe Murderer" and the Scottish mother who insisted that those supermarket rags reported truth and read every one religiously. It was hilarious, except that we now have Fox News.

They all hoped they would be taken care of for life by the RepubliCONs, I am sure these two aren't the only ones being rewarded...

Perfect fit for Fox. Perhaps he thinks by becoming a TV personality he can follow Trumps footsteps to the presidency.

(61,065 posts)I don't think it was in any of the normal media sources - and, as the former SoS, thought to be interested in running for President, it would have been.
I am actually surprised as being a commentator on Fox News is not the normal step for someone wanting to be President - though Trump may have changed everything in the norms for the Republican party. He has been very out there claiming that Biden is destroying our place in the world. In particular, he is one of the Trump people claiming that their Iran policy was "working" and - would have worked better had Obama administration people not "undermined" it.

*Need for a steady paycheck since the former guy has cornered the rube market and Pompous isn't really that likable anyway.
