Exclusive: GOP senators seek FBI investigation into Biden Pentagon nominee

A group of 18 Republican senators on Tuesday wrote to FBI Director Christopher Wray seeking an investigation into President Biden's nominee for a top role in the Pentagon over whether he disclosed or solicited classified information after leaving his government job in the Obama administration.

The senators requested Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) not advance the nomination of Colin Kahl for undersecretary of Defense policy for a full vote until the FBI has completed its investigation, according to a copy of the letter obtained exclusively by The Hill.

Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.), who led the letter-writing effort, accused Kahl of using social media to disclose classified information.

"These disclosures are extremely concerning and warrant a complete FBI investigation to determine the full scope of the nominee’s mishandling of sensitive national security information, apparently for his own perceived political gain," Hagerty said in a statement to The Hill.

And what about the Republican Senators and House members, who were privy to the Covid Virus in advance of everyone else and went to work that day on rearranging their portfolios not only to keep themselves from losing money, but investing in things that would make them a fortune in the next few months......They sure nailed Martha to the cross for 50K of insider trading, but that TWAT senator who is married to the President of the NYSE, who made 10+ million along with her husband trading on inside info hasn't been charged?????

Trump's actual handing over of US intelligence to Russia casually didn't seem to phase these "patriots" a bit.

5. Republicans want to stymie anyone involved in the Iran deal under Obama.

“In the Obama administration, Kahl was directly involved in negotiating the Iran Nuclear Deal, as well as publicly advocating for it.

In May 2018, it was revealed that aides to U.S. President Donald Trump had contracted with Israeli private intelligence firm Black Cube to find evidence to support unsubstantiated and false claims that Kahl was being enriched by Iran lobbyists and that either he or Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes were cheating on their wife.”

Kahl has most likely already been investigated by the Trump FBI and found innocent, which I’m sure these Republicans know, but this is simply a delaying tactic to which I hope Schumer gives no credence. And is it a coincidence that this request has been made after last weekend’s meetings at Mar-a-Lago where Republicans bowed to their master? Or a coincidence that Israel just sabotaged Iranian facilities? They could have been acting on their own, but such serious actions should be at least discussed with the US government. No one in the Biden administration would have given a go ahead, so is Netanyahu still taking orders from Trump/Kushner?

For whatever reasons, Trump still has a big hold on Republican legislators. He, and they, are not a risk to be ignored.

information. Never bothered them during mango mullolini's reign of terror, did it? So I just looked up the names of the 47 traitors who signed the Iran nuclear letter. Hmmm, traitor tom cottonmouth, cancuncruz, cornyn, rubio, ehrnst, etc. ohhh myyyyy.

Do they expect us to think that President Biden's team did not thoroughly vet this guy? Unlike the former guy, our President actually knows what the hell he is doing.

There is a 100% chance Trump already had Kahl investigated and found that nothing he typed in his social media account was actually classified information.

What needs to be investigated is Trump, these 18 Senators, Israel's attack on Iran and the flow of money between the parties.
