Cruz, Hawley want to "break up" MLB as punishment for protesting Georgia voting restrictions

Source: MSN

Cruz, Hawley want to “break Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Josh Hawley, R-Mo., and Mike Lee, R-Utah, introduced a bill that would end the MLB's antitrust exemption, which dates back to a 1922 Supreme Court decision, in response to its protest of the Georgia law.

The senators discussed the proposed change as a matter of fairness at a news conference on Tuesday, criticizing corporations for seeking "handouts" and "subsidies," even though all three of them voted to drastically slash corporate taxes and have backed numerous corporate subsidies they like. The trio made clear that the bill was in response to a corporate action they disagreed with.

"This past month we have seen the rise of the 'woke' corporation," Cruz said. "These woke corporations have decided to become the political enforcer for Democrats in Washington."

Cruz accused the companies of "spreading disinformation" about the law, which Republicans dubiously claim expands voting access, even though more than a dozen provisions will make it harder to vote and could allow Republican state lawmakers to subvert elections. Cruz himself has spread misinformation about voting in Colorado, where the MLB moved its All-Star Game, falsely arguing that the state's all-mail elections are more restrictive than the new Georgia rules that Democrats have lambasted as "Jim Crow in the 21st century."up” MLB as punishment for protesting Georgia voting restrictions

Enemies of right-wing nutjobs are “woke”. They’re also liberals, progressives, immigrants, centrists, teachers, nurses, cashiers, laborers and anybody else who isn’t a close-minded reactionary.

So another attempt to slander their enemies won’t matter. People are woke to their tricks. 😂

IF Corporations actually use their voice AGAINST the established Reich Wing, then just like DEMS their opinions are wrong and therefore subject to suppression.

Rather be WOKE than suffering from COMA - Can't Open Mah (e)Ayes (to see the truth).

When the public is too stupid to understand what they're being told about the law is not what the law actually does, you have deception, lies, fraud, deceit. This is their plan. Recognize it and figure out a response. Because it's coming.

It will never happen.

And since they are "people" they have free speech rights. They can express that speech by choosing who they associate with and who they don't.

What I'm saying is, buy their own Republican words, this legislation is a clear violation of the First Amendment.
