During the past two weeks, Pence reportedly experienced "symptoms associated with a slow heart rate." After consulting with his doctors, Pence had the pacemaker installed Wednesday at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. The procedure was successful, and the former vice president is expected to return to normal activity "in the coming days," according to his office.
