AUSTIN, Texas Authorities arrested 41-year-old Stephen Nicholas Broderick on Monday, one day after authorities found three people killed Sunday afternoon in a northwest Austin apartment complex.
Officials said they took Broderick into custody in Manor, a city just northeast of Austin, after receiving two 911 calls about a man walking near U.S. 290, according to the Statesman. Authorities told KVUE and the Statesman that he was armed Monday morning, though officials arrested him without incident.
Interim Austin Police Chief Joseph Chacon said Broderick was suspected in Sundays deaths of two women and one man, all of whom Broderick knew. The chief said Broderick was a former deputy with the Travis County sheriffs office, which is based in Austin.

(25,471 posts)He'd been previously arrested and part of the bail agreement was that he surrender all firearms and obtain no new ones. Obviously, he didn't fully comply.

We see how hard it is to tell the "good guys" from the "bad guys".
I tell ya, the GOP is not.going to budge on gun control unless some maniac is able to take out a bunch of Republican congress critters. Shooting only Dems would just make their wish come true.
