Gov. DeSantis suspends all local COVID-19 emergency orders

Gov. Ron DeSantis says he will issue an order suspending all remaining local COVID-19 emergency orders.

DeSantis said Monday he doesn’t think those local measures, which include mask mandates, are needed given the widespread availability of vaccine.

“I think that’s the evidence-based thing to do,” he said. “I think folks that are saying they need to be policing people at this point, if you’re saying that, then you’re really saying you don’t believe in the vaccines.”

DeSantis also signed legislation that will make his COVID-19 vaccine passport ban a permanent law, allow the governor to invalidate local health orders and give the Legislature the power to override future pandemic orders issued by governors.

It won't happen, he's been vaccinated and I guarantee you no one except those already vaccinnated get anywhere close to him. It's the idiots that follow him and drumpf who aren't getting vaccinated and who are responsible for the current spread that will probably get sick from this and some of them will die. They will get what they are really asking for.

I've had to go back and check myself a lot. If the election had taken any longer I knew I was going over the edge. The biggest relief was getting the jab. The first one actually made me feel giddy like somehow I made it up the hill. The 2nd was like total relief, even bigger than the first.

So now I'm trying to re-shore my values. It's hard. Especially when we live in a target rich environment - Gaetz, Hawley, Boebert, Greene, those whose name shall not be used, and on and on.
