Gov. Cuomo: New York will adopt CDC guidelines that ease masking rules for fully vaccinated
Source: WIVB
The new guidance still calls for wearing masks in crowded indoor settings like buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters but will help clear the way for reopening workplaces, schools, and other venues even removing the need for masks or social distancing for those who are fully vaccinated. The CDC will also no longer recommend that fully vaccinated people wear masks outdoors in crowds.
If you are vaccinated, you are safe, Gov. Cuomo said. No masks, no social distancing.
The governor said individual private venues still have the ability to add additional guidelines to existing state and federal guidance should they choose to do so.

(2,063 posts)There must be a tangible benefit (beyond not dying) to being vaccinated. My coworker refuses to get it, and says. I already had it....my immunity is better than the vaccine. I would love it if he isn't allowed anywhere without it.

(6,319 posts)for employees who do not interact with general public, wearing masks let alone social distancing in a space with other mostly vaccinated staff does not make sense anymore. Employers should ensure that unvaccinated staff is wearing masks. You bet theyll get vaccinated in no time. Thats what its all about - incentivizing employees to get vaccinated. Honor system does not apply to employers, employers, in fact, ask employees to self-certify vaccination status and provide copy of cdc card to keep on file.
