Chinese state media is turning on Fauci amid Wuhan lab controversy
Source: cnn
The anger is centered on Fauci's remarks this month that he is no longer convinced the Covid-19 pandemic originated naturally.

I agree with Fauci, alot of evidence are pointing toward china, and let's not forget the coverup from China aided by WHO in the beginning.

Here is what Fauci said...
"I am not convinced about that, I think we should continue to investigate what went on in China until we continue to find out to the best of our ability what happened," Fauci told PolitiFact's managing editor Katie Sanders.
"Certainly, the people who investigated it say it likely was the emergence from an animal reservoir that then infected individuals, but it could have been something else, and we need to find that out. So, you know, that's the reason why I said I'm perfectly in favor of any investigation that looks into the origin of the virus," he continued.

(113,032 posts)The only reason this theory is still alive is because an intermediate species between pangolins and people wasn't found. That doesn't mean their isn't one, or that humans are the intermediary species, the disease having simmered under the radar for months.
The facility was cited for security failures and the WHO was helping them address that when Dumdum decided to blow a fit over it.
The truth is that we don't know where it came from. We do know Wuhan was likely the first victim of it and they acted quickly to isolate it once enough of a cluster of cases appeared there.
Where it came from is a little less imoportant than what we're going to do about it.
It appears Republicans want to keep the disease and the conspiracy theory alive and feeding each other instead of making sure enough people are vaccinated against it to have it die out. They are the problem here, not a theoretical "oopsie" at a lab or a jump to an unknown species and then to us.

The US bungled it's initial response, leading to unnecessary infections and deaths.
Both of these are true.
