Mitt Romney Blimp-Like Aircraft Crash Lands in Davie

A blimp-like aircraft carrying a Mitt Romney campaign message crash landed in a field in Davie Sunday night, officials said.

No one was injured when the thermal airship, which had a photo of the GOP presidential hopeful and the slogan "America Needs Romney," went down in the 3800 block of Southwest 92nd Avenue around 7:30 p.m., Davie Police spokesman Capt. Dale Engle said.

"It experienced some high winds and was having a difficult time and crash landed here in the field just south of Bamford Park in Davie," Engle said. "They were experiencing some problems due to the wind which forced them to crash land here in the field."

The airship had been traveling from Boca Raton, the site of Monday's third and final debate between Romney and President Barack Obama, to North Perry Airport in Pembroke Pines.

...from the Florida Turnpike heading north to Ft. Lauderdale Airport(after a Key West vacation)!! It REALLY was shocking and frightening to see...and disturbing, too.
What was more disturbing was the huge Anti-Obama billboard we saw just ten minutes before this. I am 50 years old(as of today, in fact...AND a new member here..have been a reader of this site and forums for months, though) and cannot recall when a President of the United States was treated with such disrespect(election or no election). Can anyone remember an anti-Bush billboard ad anywhere?!
