Former President Donald Trump suggested he would consider running for a House seat in 2022 in a bid to become Speaker of the House and launch an impeachment investigation against President Joe Biden.

Trump commented on the idea during an interview broadcast by far-right radio host Wayne Allyn Root on Friday afternoon. Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon first touted the idea of Trump running for Congress to take over as Speaker of the House back in February. Root raised the idea with Trump directly during his interview.

"Why not, instead of waiting for 2024, and I'm hoping you'll run in 2024 but why not run in 2022 for the United States Congress, a House seat in Florida. Win big. Lead us to a dramatic landslide victory. Take the House by 50 seats. And then you become the Speaker of the House, lead the impeachment of Biden and start criminal investigations against Biden. You'll wipe him out for this last two years," Root said with excitement.

"That's so—that's so interesting," Trump responded.

First, he just admitted Joe Biden is the actual president of the United States.

And second, there are about 150 Republicans in the House who won't put up with a freshman legislator being appointed Speaker, even if they do regain the majority - and considering that Biden is doing a good job with the little help from Congress that he has, who's to say that the Democrats won't increase their majority in 2022?

(This naturally skips over the part that Trump stands a better chance of going to Sing Sing between now and next November than he does winning a House seat.)

49. After listening to Glen Kerschner speak about Don McGhan testifying before Congress,

I think the loser 45 is leaking these stories about him to distract attention away from McGhan telling Congress he obstructed justice by telling him to fire Mueller, and after he refused told McGhan to lie and create false documents about it, which is a good case for obstruction charges that'll stick. They say the full transcript of his testimony will be coming out soon. I think the loser did this for that reason, and other reasons too.
