Federal judge accuses three senior law enforcement officials of criminal obstruction

A federal judge leveled criminal contempt charges Monday against senior federal law enforcement officials in a long-simmering standoff in South Dakota over the judge’s insistence that he needs to know whether deputies guarding his courtroom have been vaccinated against the coronavirus.

U.S. District Judge Charles Kornmann, who sits in Aberdeen, tore into the U.S. Marshals Service for nearly an hour over their reaction to his decision at a hearing last month to question the deputy marshal in attendance about whether she had been vaccinated.

The deputy marshal, according to the judge, refused to answer the question, at which point he ordered her out of his courtroom. The marshals, in turn, took three of the defendants scheduled for hearings that day out of the courthouse. That infuriated the judge, who describes that act as a “kidnapping” that obstructed the work of the court.

“This was such an outrageous thing to do,” the judge said at a hearing Monday, during which he spent nearly an hour laying out his rationale for accusing the three marshals officials of criminal contempt and obstruction. “Nothing like this that we could find has ever been done in this country. If it is the marshals’ position that they can override court orders, they are badly mistaken.”

The historical playbook is open for all to see. You don't need a majority of the population behind you, nor do you need a majority of the generals. All you need is enough. Enough to shut it down, and take over the "fake news" networks for national security. And then go on a next level propoganda blitz like Hitler did. How it was all nessacary to "save" the country. And in following their strategy of accusing your enemies the crimes you are commiting, you say you stopped a planned insurrection by Antifa terrorists, who were aided and abetted by top Democrats who now must go on trial. If you already have 40% before you even started, all you need is a few more Americans to accept the next "new normal" and believe that the authorities know what they are doing. And without a free press to counter any falsehoods, or whatever left of them now fully tarnished as Fake News from the terrorists.....its a doomsday scenerio.

The hard part is finding a solution. Misinformation, whether spread with sinister intent, or blithe ignorance, is one of the leading causes of the division. How do you weed out the false info in a country that values free speech above all? Values, nay worships, private ownership, even of their news media?

I think something needs to be done about the algorithms on social media. Its a blessing and a curse. I love it because it feeds me other videos from more liberal shows on YouTube, like the Sam Seder, or TYT. And animal rescues, and restoration videos. I love that convenience of a bot scouring the YouTube library for me. But at times I think about how my sister and brother in law Trumpists also have those same YouTube algorithms working on their computers to feed them all the anti vaxing, anti masking, pro Trump videos. Dennis Prager's are their favourite.

9. The DOJ should have the Director of the agency, Donald W. Washington, suspend them

pending proof of vaccinations, replace them for that federal court, and issue orders for all the U.S. Marshals to get vaccinated. I don't care if there's no "law" to require it, or what their due process is if a judge rules them in contempt for obstruction.

He was nominated by Trump, confirmed under McConnell. He's "responsible for all operations involving federal judicial security..." It looks pretty bad for this director, if he puts all responsibility on this one federal judge to enforce U.S. Marshals' respect for any judge.

Now, imo, Merrick Garland needs to see this as a red flag. In my layman's opinion, he should recommend that Washington issue new vaccination rules in support of this president, or review current marshals' training program, and recommend a new director to Biden if Washington doesn't do a through-going review of his marshals' vaccination status and attitudes.
