Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes announces Senate bid
Source: CBS News
Barnes joins seven other Democrats who have already launched their Senate bids. They're lining up to potentially face incumbent Republican Senator Ron Johnson, who has not yet announced if he will seek a third term.
"The U.S. Senate is broken," Barnes said Tuesday at a rally in Milwaukee. "Senator Ron Johnosn is not delivering for the people of Wisconsin. He's doing like so many other cynical politicians who use false choices to divide us for their own political gain."

Milwaukee Bucks executive Alex Lasry, who launched his campaign in February, has already raised $2 million and has $1 million cash on hand. Wisconsin State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski, who jumped into the race in April, is backed by EMILY's List and raised more than $500,000 last quarter. Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson, who launched his campaign late last year, raised $240,000 last quarter and has $406,000 in the bank.

I kind of like what Mandela Barnes had to say, but I haven't read anything from the others.
But I'm just a spectator. I hope Wisconsin Democrats nominate the strongest candidate, and send Johnson packing. Johnson has been so Trump-like, i.e. stupid, much of their campaign should concentrate using his own words against him, as he's made a plethora of utterly stupid statements, especially about COVID.
The Delta variant, or as some might call it, "the MAGA variant", is sadly coming on, but it isn't going to be a friend to the GQP in the 22 midterms. They OWN it, and we should tie it around their necks like a millstone. Ron Johnson is going to share responsibility for a lot more deaths in Wisconsin, before this thing is over.
