Finally! Milwaukee Bucks finish off Phoenix Suns to win first NBA title in 50 years

Source: Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

The explosion of noise inside Fiserv Forum was 50 years in the making.

Outside the building, the population of a decent-sized city in the Deer District also reached a cathartic roar.

The Milwaukee Bucks were back on the NBA mountaintop for the first time since the 1970-71 season.

The Bucks fought off the feisty Phoenix Suns, riding the wondrous talents of their transcendent superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo for a 105-98 victory in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday night.

Political connections: In 2014, former US Senator Herb Kohl sold the Bucks to current co-owner Marc Lasry. Kohl, a Democrat, was in the Senate from 1989 to 2013. Marc's son Alex, a senior vice president for the Bucks, is running in the Democratic primary for Ron Johnson's Senate seat.

I have to say that having them lose in Milwaukee is probably a good thing for the valley. With Covid on the rise, I'm glad there won't be another Suns related Covid spreader here. Congrats to the Bucks!

50 years in the making!
I was a 3 year old girl, living in Milwaukee, the last time this happened! I just hope it's not another 50 years.

Although, I am surprised, with a Dem Mayor, and Dem City Council, they allowed (in fact upped the capacity to 65,000 people)that many people during a Delta Virus surge. Talk about a super spreading event!
