Dominion hits conservative networks, Trump ally with $1.6 billion defamation suits

Source: ABC News

Dominion Voting Systems on Tuesday morning filed three $1.6 billion defamation lawsuits against two pro-Trump media networks and an outspoken Trump ally, the latest in a string of suits from the company against those it says pushed false accusations that the company helped rig the 2020 election.

The complaints were filed against Newsmax and One America News Network, as well as against former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne, who is an outspoken supporter of the former president.

Newsmax and OAN "helped create and cultivate an alternate reality where up is down, pigs have wings, and Dominion engaged in a colossal fraud to steal the presidency from Donald Trump by rigging the vote," Dominion wrote in each of its complaints against the two networks.

Specifically, Dominion alleges that the two networks "manufactured, endorsed, repeated, and broadcast a series of verifiably false yet devastating lies about Dominion." OAN, they allege, was motivated by a "quest for profits and viewers" in competition with leading conservative network Fox News. They say both outlets helped spread these lies by promoting other figures such as Byrne, who they say "pushed lies" in collaboration with "other Trump-connected individuals.

I'm all for it because it seems that no legislators seem to be willing to take on the task of making clarifications about "free speech" and enforcing some sort of accountability. Allowing free-for-all lying has got to stop.

Patrick Byrne may be "former CEO", but my attitude is, just in case he still gets a percentage: I won't start now.

And thing is, the loons haven't stopped with their narrative, although they have punted the defaming duties down to the state loons in the form of attempting to carry out "audits" and "forensic analysis" - even threatening places like here in Philly that don't use Dominion voting machines (but other counties they targeted here in the state do).

They may make more from suing the Reich than in supplying voting machines!

Add these suits to the ones Dominion already has against Fox, Ghoulliani, Sidney Powell, and Mike Lindell! If my count is correct, they have now filed suits totaling $10.5 Billion!

Let's see how much the baby Hey-Soos loves me....

There were 4 separate filings.

One against OAN, one against Newsmax, one against Byrne, and a massive document dump of exhibits.

I'm about ¼ of the way wading through the OAN suit, and the Dominion lawyers appear to have done all of their homework, in spades.

Tons of reading, but well worth at least a scan through...there was a LOT of research put into these!

Here's a link that has all 4 available for download:

It feels like they're shooting all around the target while avoiding the mens rea of the entire fiasco. Remove TFG from the equation and the Big Lie disappears "like magic."
