Biden Told Trump Appointees "You're Fired," Kellyanne Conway And Sean Spicer Responded

Source: Forbes

On Wednesday, the White House told 18 officials who had been appointed by former President Donald Trump to serve on the boards of U.S. military service academies to resign or be dismissed. Those included former advisor Kellyanne Conway, press secretary Sean Spicer and national security adviser H.R. McMaster. Each was told to resign by 6pm or they'd be dismissed.

While it isn't normal for appointees to be fired, the issue in this case is that Trump had filled some of the positions at West Point, the Naval Academy and the Air Force Academy in the final months of his presidency. Each comes with a three-year term and it appeared that President Joe Biden sought to cut those terms short.

Not Fading Away By Any Means

Instead of taking a cue from the late Gen. Douglas McArthur to "fade away" and perhaps go quietly, a few of the Trump Administration appointees created a minor firestorm on social media by posting their responses – stating they'd have to be fired, and certainly wouldn't resign.

Kellyanne Conway (@KellyannePolls) tweeted out a copy of the letter she sent to President Joe Biden on Wednesday. In her tweet she added, "President Biden, I'm not resigning but you should." It didn't take long for responses to pour in, calling out former President Donald Trump's advisor, who had been named to the Board of Visitors to the United States Air Force Academy. Among those to respond was Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), who called out Ms. Conway directly.

Few people had ever heard of Conway before she became a faithful and willing LIAR for an obnoxiously self-obsessed turd, serving to the public platter after platter of bullshit. We don't need her "alternative facts" having any influence whatever at our service academies.

Dismissing people like Conway and Spicer are no brainers, but Hiler was a naval academy graduate and naval officer. I don't get the vibe that he is unqualified to serve on the board for the naval academy and am curious why Biden felt he couldn't let Hiler serve out his term.

Kelly Ann Conway has no merit. Sean Spicer is currently a Commander, which is the naval equivalent of Lieutenant Colonel. Given his performance as Trump's press secretary, I don't fault Biden for not having confidence in him though.

At face value, I don't see how John Hiler would be unqualified.

Sorry I think anyone he appointed should be gone. None of them were put there on a basis of merit. He wanted sycophants only.

And didn't Trump also want out of Afghanistan but wouldn't take the political risk for which 69 American servicemen died.

Ok, don't resign. Be fired. Remember what you once said about Trump's ability to hire and fire who and when he pleased.
