Rep. Yarmuth says he's retiring from Congress

Source: The Hill

Rep. John Yarmuth (D), chairman of the House Budget Committee, announced on Tuesday that he will not be seeking re-election.

“It's been an incredible journey since my first campaign in 2006 until now. I will continue to fight for Louisville in Washington for another 15 months, and then, I will retire from Congress,” he tweeted.

His district is quite blue, at least it’s very highly likely that he’ll be replaced by another democrat.

But look at Austin TX to see what can happen to a nice Blue city

Instead of the democratic representative they deserve, they get scum like Chip Roy.

Then there's Asheville NC. They didn't even have to divide it up, just include enough rural rubes to make sure they have someone like Madison Cawthorn for their rep.

I wish he waited until after redistricting to announce. God knows what republicans will do to the district now.
