Trump faces a pile of civil lawsuits as depositions begin

Former President Donald Trump has been ordered to answer questions under oath in a lawsuit Monday, and his attorneys could set a date for a deposition in another case, as well.

The lawsuits, involving allegations that his security guards roughed up protesters outside Trump Tower in New York and allegations of defamation by former "Apprentice" contestant Summer Zervos, respectively, are just two cases in the mass of civil litigation Trump faces post-presidency.

At least 10 civil casesare pending against Trump, whose ability to delay them has been curtailed since he left office in January. Trump had argued in some of the cases that as a sitting president he was immune from civil lawsuits.His office didn't respond to a request for comment on the cases.

I am aware of, defending Trump in his defamation law suit being brought by his accused rapist E. Jeanne Carroll. I guess that Garland feels obligated to defend the office of the president when it defames an accused rapist. Hard for me to understand how defaming someone is a part of his presidential duties.

14. No, he has not said that, at least that I know of, but I believe the DOJ agreed to defend him

against the lawsuit from the woman he raped, the journalist.

I don't know what has happened with that, I will need to find out.

The problem is that Garland doesn't seem to be doing anything, not that he has said something about defending the presidency, buthe seems to be absent from all that is happening. I don't buy about "keeping the investigation quiet" anymore, there is enough evidence in all counts to put that asshole in jail, even Glenn Kirschner is becoming frustrated, so the questions that begs an answer is, what are they waiting for?

Because there may be some violence on the streets? Sure, that may happen, but that is why we have the police, National Guard and the military, to defend the country against foreign and domestic threats.

Oct 27th is the day the statute of limitations runs out for the criminal act that took place with the hush money payment to Stormy Daniels... the one Michael Cohen went to jail for doing what DT told him to do. they could charge and arrest DT now if they wanted to for the same campaign violation that Cohen was sent to prison for 3 years over as i understand it.
