(3,446 posts)Seeing that they are all gun crazy in Idaho, I have a feeling that this good guy with a gun coming to the rescue is just complete bullshit.

(10,599 posts)Unfortunately they got shot though. I guess they're just a lousy officer, because they're supposed to be reliable in defeating the bad guy before they hurt someone.
What do you expect from a Shithole country anyways?

(32,285 posts)He will have to settle for a one-way ticket to hell. I don't really believe in such a place, but it would be quite fitting for cowardly murderous scum like him and others who decide to brandish weapons in public places with a premeditated intent of killing and terrorizing innocent citizens.

To me, Bundy Country is Burns Oregon.

(19,965 posts)Bundy was running for Governor of Idaho the last I heard.
I also read just recently that his group is really growing.
I am from Spokane and CdA so I am not very familiar with Southern Idaho.

(38,393 posts)Sure enough, you're right; he's running for Gov.
I guess, like Salt Lake, that Boise is where the non-Mormons gather for safety.

(9,937 posts)Boise has a comparatively low percentage of LDS members, in the range of 15-20%. The rest of Ada county and adjacent Canyon County is closer to 25%. In a metro area of 750,000 that still amounts to a lot of members, although the same can be said of Catholic, mainline Protestant, Evangelical, and unaffiliated citizens. Idaho's LDS "stronghold" (for lack of a better term) is in the southeast region of the state which includes Rexburg (97% by one account), Twin Falls, and Idaho Falls. Pocatello is less-so.
Boise is considered "liberal" but that is by Idaho standards. In presidential elections, the city voted for Obama twice, for Hillary, and for Biden, but not by wide margins. Parts of Boise are solid blue, particularly the north end, the "Bench", and precincts adjacent to and including the downtown area. The mayor and city council members are Democrats (although the positions themselves are non-partisan), as are the majority of state legislators who represent the city. The rest of the state, excluding Moscow and Ketchum / Blaine County, is deep red.
