During Tuesday's press briefing, Doocy pointed out that Biden linked Rittenhouse to white supremacists in remarks he made during the 2020 presidential campaign and he asked if Biden would apologize to Rittenhouse.

"This is about a campaign video released last year that used President Trump's own words during a debate as he refused to condemn white supremacists and militia groups," she replied. "And President Trump, as you know... didn't just refuse to condemn militia groups on the debate stage, he actively encouraged them throughout his presidency."



Psaki said then linked Rittenhouse's decision to travel to Kenosha armed with an AR-15 to Trump's encouragement of militias and vigilantes.


"What we've seen are the tragic consequences of that, when people think it's OK to take the law into their own hands," she said.

There are many images in the video, and nothing in it that is an accusation that Rittenhouse himself is a racist. The video was about Trump's refusal to disavow white supremacists and there were many people pictured in the video, including victims of racist violence. There is one picture of him with his gun, and the context was a montage of the many incidents of unrest during 2020.

It's almost as if he can connect the dots between his actions and the larger context... feeling guilty about something, Kyle?
