NEW YORK — A 41-year-old woman told jurors Tuesday how Ghislaine Maxwell allegedly helped groom and recruit her into the life of financier Jeffrey Epstein decades ago, including watching at times as Epstein forced her into sexual acts.

The woman — testifying under the pseudonym Jane — was the first of four alleged victims who will testify at Maxwell’s sex-trafficking trial in U.S. District Court in Manhattan. She gave a mostly matter-of-fact account of being lured into Epstein’s world of daily erotic massages as a 14-year-old and globe-trotting on private jets.

On the witness stand, Jane, now a professional singer and actress, said she met Maxwell and Epstein at a prestigious summer camp for music students for which Epstein was a benefactor.

The pair invited the girl and her mother to tea at Epstein’s mansion in Palm Beach, Fla., and earned the mother’s trust as potential mentors for her daughter, prosecutors allege. Eventually, Epstein paid for the girl’s schooling and an apartment in New York where she and her family stayed.

I never said anything about hiding that evidence, I am concentrating on THIS TRIAL OF THIS PERSON involved in CHILD TRAFFICKING.

Let's get through this trial first. If others are complicit (no matter who they are, ours or theirs) we'll go after them when she if convicted.

Your post makes no sense.

Maxwell is on trial for trafficking girls to have sex with persons other than herself. The charge requires the prosecution to show that’s what she did. Evidence and testimony about the extent of her activities in procuring victims for various men is extremely relevant to what she’s been charged with doing.

That basic observation hardly warrants your bizarre response.

my son was a victim, and didnt tell me for 15 yrs. i really had to admit i wasnt the mom i thought i was when he told me. but it was a 1 time thing.
i mostly held them pretty close, cuz i know how many assholes are out there.
they seemed to have pretty good radar themselves, tho. i never pushed them to do anything, much as i wanted them to follow their interests. there were a couple times that i got a creepy vibe, and the kids said- nah, i dont rly want to do that.

but when you are rly struggling to take care of your kids, it gets easy to brush that stuff off. sounds like your mom was desperate. i hope you have healed. at least enough to get on w life. my son still struggles.

... but it's always there. Yes, you can get the wrong vibe... most people are nice, and they want to be nice to young children. We should not have to lose that, because of the bad people... My mother struggled with three kids... she knew something was weird. Years later, she told me she would find me sleepwalking, or watching TV at night... I didn't remember. I woke up on the bathroom floor, once. I was just frozen - could not do anything. We really need more education, so parents and children can identify and stop the behavior.
