De Blasio considering second shot, booster vaccination mandate for NYC restaurants, concerts as omicron bears down

A day after announcing five people in New York State tested positive for COVID’s omicron variant, Mayor de Blasio said Friday he is considering tightening vaccine mandates when it comes to restaurants and concert venues.

Such a mandate could include a second shot of the COVID vaccine, as well as boosters shots.

3. Probably should see if this vaccine is effective first

The vaccine makers and experts say it will be a couple of weeks before they can determine effectiveness against Omicron. It looks like Omicron could displace Delta, just like Delta became the predominate strain.

This is one of my big questions in all this, how often are they going to have to redefine what “fully vaccinated” means?

We know the big drug companies want perpetual new vaccines mandated, they have already made hundreds of billions off this and stand to make trillions if this goes on for years. I keep that in mind when we hear from Pfizer and Moderna, every new vaccine version mandated is potentially tens or hundreds of billions for them, they aren’t going to recommend people NOT get the new thing they’re trying to sell.

Looked into controlled isolation for the remaining antivaxxers in their midst? These people are a threat to the community at large and are probably super spreaders. Surely there is a place secure enough in the area to detain these monsters

That’s kind of a pointless endeavor, seeing lots of reports that people testing positive and showing symptoms for Omicron are fully vaccinated and even boosted. Could just be back to square one in this whole process when it becomes the dominate strain.

Bring it on! It's about time that government stopped pussy footing with these freedom freaks who are holding our lives hostage. Germany is having a mandate, as they should. I hope to see more of this starting to happen, what should have happened in the first place. I am one of those grateful kids who got her polio vaccine in a sugar cube and it was something to really celebrate!
