Judge bars Steve Bannon from releasing trial material to the public

Source: CBS News via MSN

U.S. District Court Judge Carl Nichols has issued a protective order in Steve Bannon's criminal contempt of Congress case, effectively barring him or his lawyers from releasing to the public the trial material given to them by prosecutors.

"All materials provided by the United States in preparation for, or in connection with, any stage of this case ("the Materials&quot are subject to this protective order," Nichols ruled Friday. "The defendant and defense counsel shall not disclose the Materials or their contents directly or indirectly to any person or entity other than persons employed to assist in the defense, persons who are interviewed as potential witnesses, counsel for potential witnesses, and other person to whom the Court may authorize disclosure."

Any materials related to the case that are already in the public sphere or obtained by Bannon outside of the evidentiary discovery process aren't subject to these rules.

That he and his attorneys will still release the documents. He truly believes that he is the final authority on everything - and since he knows the fix is in for 2022 and 2024 - he's not worried.

He isn't charged with with holding information. He is charged with not showing up and not complying with subpoenas.

The crime He is charged with has already been committed. It won't matter if the house drops its investigation. This trial will be over and done before then.

Now if we lose the wh, then he could get another pardon.

since when does Bannon or the rest of their crowd give a rats ass about anything.......

But you beat me to it..........

Bannon and his lawyers gaining access to all the Discovery the Prosecution has gathered is opening Pandora's box for the entire Republican party and tipping the hand of what the prosecution knows so far.........The Republicans are going to burn up copy machines distributing it to ANY and ALL Republican defendants across the entire nation............

And worst of all, it may let them know the ways the information was gathered that they didn't know about............

He was going to use the discovery process and trial publicity to gin up outrage against the "Deep State" operators who are "persecuting" him.

Judges do not like being shown up or defied. His lawyers could also face sanctions from contempt to censure or suspension of thier law license. Bannon is a fool if he thinks he can ignore the rulings of the judge and if he starts talking smack about this on his pod cast I can guarantee the judge will issue a gag order. This is what four years of ignoring the rule of law has led us to.

Take the evidence against them and present their own version of it through podcasts and tv appearances until most believe they're being railroaded.

Bannon needs to be taken out of circulation before the trial gets going.
