Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has denounced Kwanzaa as a “fake religion” just as millions of Black people start to celebrate the weeklong holiday.

The far-right Georgia lawmaker berated the national College Republicans for “pandering and BS” after the GOP group tweeted a seemingly innocuous happy holiday message.

“Stop. It’s a fake religion created by a psychopath,” Greene said. “People are tired of pandering and BS.”

It's comforting to believe there aren't vast reaches of crazy people in this country.

But there are.

After a while, when the same group of people sends the likes of Michele "Crazy Eyes" Bachmann or Louis Gohmert to Congress, you have to reach the conclusion that is who they want. That is the person whom tens of thousands of people in that district decided "this is who I want to represent me".

And, sure, people can say, "But not everyone in Whereverthefuck agrees" all they want, but the stark reality is that the majority of the voting population in northwest Georgia wanted MTG by a wide margin and you can probably bet on them keeping her.

For the simple reason that she is a reflection of the majority of voters in that district, who they are, what they believe, and what they value.
