Michigan woman arrested near Capitol had loaded shotgun, and she wanted to talk about Jan. 6

Source: CNBC

U.S. Capitol Police said Thursday they arrested a Michigan woman on multiple gun charges after she drove to Washington and told officers she wanted to talk about the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

The woman, Kery Lynn McAttee, 58, had a loaded shotgun and an unloaded .22 caliber rifle in her 2001 Chevrolet Silverado when she parked it in the “No Parking” zone in front of Capitol Police headquarters on Wednesday afternoon, police said. The headquarters is a little more than a half-mile from the U.S. Capitol.

“McAttee told our officers she drove here from Michigan and wanted to talk about information she had about Jan. 6, 2021,” police said.

“During that conversation, one of our agents spotted a gun case and the butt of a long gun in the Silverado,” police said. “McAttee confirmed there were firearms in her vehicle.”

There's a certain set of physiological and psychological factors that make some extremely vulnerable to not only propaganda, but incredibly stupid propaganda.

important that she had to drive all of the way from Michigan when she could have very easily notified authorities where she lived at?

I suspect that she was there in DC to do bodily harm, even though the article does state that they had no evidence of such...I wonder how in the world they first noticed her to begin w/?

And by the way, my sister does carry a small pistol too while she's on her walks (to which I'm very glad, being that there are some crazy animals out there (wild dogs, other critters in very rural MO). The craziest animal her or my Mom encountered on their walks was an EMU (can you imagine walking down a rural road in MO and running into such a thing? Wild dogs unfortunately too were a problem, people get tired of taking care of their dogs and dump them, a bane I think for all rural areas in this Country.

Justice matters.

a big f*ck-you to the government and the police, like she is defying them to do something about it. All while transporting guns in her vehicle.

Meanwhile, I've been in a lot of small towns and they all had some "No Parking".

In most of Michigan, people may have carried a rifle or shotgun in the trunk- quite common, actually. Lots of folks drive to the range, or to or from hunting in the fall.
In small town Michigan it’s perfectly legal if properly unloaded and secured. DC is just different.
