(14,367 posts)If judicial appointments werent so critical, Biden would likely rip into them publicly or ask Schumer to remove them from committees. However Manchin would just change parties and Sinema would not care because she is there to serve her donors and not the public.

It's Sinema who looks ready to flip to the GOP.

At least change the verbiage up guys.
I would certainly have wanted to be a fly on the wall though, but everyone who can pressure them has pressured them.

(9,144 posts)dirt on these two. The Republicans would have blackmailed these two out of office by now if they were in this position. Shocking you say, I'm no longer shock able. We haven't realized that this a war for democracy. I'm tired of billionaires and those paid by them ruining my country.

(9,144 posts)real democrats could replace them.
FBaggins
(28,706 posts)The moment one of them resigns, the senate is now 50-49 (or 50-48) republican. Schumer is no longer in control.
Then the governor of WV/AZ (both republicans) appoints a replacement who hold the seat at least through November (becoming the incumbent for that race) and the Senate is now 52-48 republican.
Winning back AZ would be 50/50 at best. Winning back WV is effectively impossible for the foreseeable future.
